Muffaletta.
Yep. The name is quite the mouthful, and, well, the sandwich is too!
The Muffaletta sandwich was concocted back in 1906 by an Italian immigrant living in New Orleans, and let me tell you... it's a towering feast of a sandwich!
It starts with a fresh, baked-in-house muffaletta (which is also the name of this particular kind of bread,) and only gets better from there. The best meats and cheeses, and an incredibly exquisite olive salad come next, and the resulting combination of flavors is truly sublime.
Treat yourself to a taste of New Orleans. Have a Muffaletta. It's what's for lunch!
