Summer and spice and everything nice

What's cooking at The Homestead...
Bouillabaisse
Seems a bit paradoxical, but apparently eating spicy foods on hot days could help cool you down. It has something to do with how spicy foods will increase circulation, make your body temperature rise, and cause you sweat, which in turns helps you cool you down. Interesting and counter intuitive, isn't it? But if you think about cultures that have developed in the hotter areas of the globe, you'll realize that they tend to eat lots of spicy food.

So, on these how summer days, come on over and cool down with us and some of our delicious spiced up dishes, such as our subtly spicy Seafood Bouillabaisse.
Blackened Chicken Salad
Another dish that brings some spiciness to the table ...ha see what we did there?!... is our Blackened Chicken Salad. A delicious mixture of greens and cheese and avocado and hard boiled egg and tomatoes topped with delicious spicy charred chicken. Too good!

Stop on in and for some summery spicy goodness!
