All natural local Pine Tree Poultry chicken breast sauteed with baby portabella mushrooms, garlic, spinach, crispy prosciutto, sherry, and cream
Bulgogi Duck and Black Rice Bowl
Seared duck, pineapple gochujang bbq, house kimchi, nuoc cham pickled mango, fried fresh farm egg, micro cilantro 

Baja Burger
All natural, local grass fed Black Acres beef patty charbroiled and dressed with bacon maple jalapeno jam, crispy panko avocado frites, green goddess mayo, and arugula on brioche

Butternut Squash, Three Cheese, and Spinach Lasagna
Layers of pasta, roasted Beacham Farm butternut squash-ricotta puree, spinach, mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan

Sliced granny smith apples, creamy Danish brie, and peach marmalade on cinnamon raisin bread

Baja Burger
All natural, local grass fed Black Acres beef patty, charbroiled and dressed with bacon maple jalapeno jam, crispy panko avocado frites, green goddess mayo, and arugula on brioche

Muffaletta
Our fresh baked Sicilian style bread stuffed with olive salad, mortadella, capicola, salami, sliced provolone, and fresh mozzarella

Greek Quinoa Salad with Grilled Local Chicken

Come Celebrate Fresh Local Foods With Us!

This week, we are participating in Maurer Meals, a project founded to honor the memory of Justin Maurer by raising money for the Justin A. Maurer Memorial Scholarship at UMF. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of our local foods specials on Friday, October 14th, and Saturday, October 15th, will be given to the scholarship fund.

Although this weekend the spotlight is on local foods, here, at The Homestead, we are committed to bringing the freshest local foods, all year round. We partner with local farms, including Beacham Farm and Black Acres Farm, to regularly supply us with local fruits, veggies, and meats, which are used in the creation of our delicious dishes and specials. 
 
We also regularly feature many specials made with fresh, local ingredients. 
Our Fall Menu features over 20 dishes that are made using these fresh, local ingredients, including:

Meet Rebecca

On one of your recent visits, you have my have had the pleasure of having this sweet and lively young woman as your server. 
Her name is Rebecca Close, an 18 year-old student at Montserrat College of Art, who is studying photography and art history. Her future plans include volunteering in Guatemala to help low income children stay in school and learn English.
Getting to know her...

What is your favorite Homestead meal? 
"I love the lamb gyros! I go to college in a town with a lot of Greek influence so I ate a lot of Greek food including gyros. I love the harissa sauce that Chef Nick puts on the Homestead lamb gyro- it's the perfect extra touch!"

What do you do when you're not serving?
"I am an avid hiker- my favorite hike is the loop trail on top of Tumbledown."

What is your favorite part about working at the Homestead? 
"I love being able to meet people everyday and to get to hear stories from all of my customers!"

What is a special talent that you have? 
"I play traditional Irish folk music on my fiddle."

We have a new bartender!

Have you met Kaitlyn?

Kaitlyn Corbett-Mclean, our new bartender, is bringing a young, fresh, and positive outlook to our Homestead team. 
She has been tending bar for nearly 10 years- in many different restaurants and bars all over the country.
 
Come meet Kaitlyn and try one of her perfected Margaritas or perhaps her signature drink: Jameson + Ginger ale with clementine. 
 
Due to her extensive traveling and bar tending she says she has many funny stories to tell and is willing to share.

We are striving to find a good balance between new, exciting dishes and old, beloved favorites, so, please bear with us through these changes, as our menus are still a work in progress. We encourage everyone to keep those comment cards coming; we truly value your opinions!
